Been quite a while since i last had this feeling.
Been quite some time since i last communicated with my inner self.
Been so long since i felt so loved by someone special..

I guess it's time..
To make the right decision and not to look back once again.

There are so many questions in my mind right now..
Too many uncertainties.
Too emotional for one to bear...

I asked myself,
If i could take some time off...
What would i really want to do?

I guess...
I would want to spend some time alone.
I would want to spend some time overseas..
I would want to spend some time with all my loved ones...

I yearn the freedom that i once had.
Yearn for what i used to think i could actually do.
Till then that i realise that it's at least miles away from my expectations..

Probably it's time to let go.

Looking at my recent entries made me wonder my initial intention of setting up a blog.
From Blogdrive to Blogspot.
From honeydewgurl to lolligurl..
So much have changed.
Including myself..

Reading through all my archives made me realise how much i've grown..
From someone who types LiKe DiS to someone who can actually type in perfect English.
(ok~ pardon me for the spelling errors at times)
I guess this is like the LONGEST time so far since i've been missing...
I guess my fans (not as if i've got a whole group of it) kinda missed me a lil.
It's really a lil i know....

I guess it's fatigue and my loving companion which stopped my regular blogging habit.
I know such excuses can never be accepted and indeed...
My blog entries are getting REAL BORING and plain lately.
I'm really running out of ideas to blog~

Been some time since i last ate GOOD FOOD.
*i meant good food which i've never tried before.
And to go to NEW PLACES...
Or even to take any NICE PICX.

Life's rather boring.
Weekdays' work, night out with pals or home.
Weekends' always with him or family and seldom with pals.
Special occasions are always with him and pals and family.
What's so interesting about the lives of celebrity bloggers that made us all addicted to their entries all the time?!
I guess it's how they colour their life with their words..

I used to have sucha power.....
But now....
It's been turned into curses on selfish / unreasonable retards that i've met.

*ok, i admit.. The people inside just wouldn't budge. But that doesn't mean that we deserved to be squeezed and niam-ed at right~*

Thanks for your reply.

We had conducted an initial investigation on the matter through site inspection and observation and interview of the staffs at the respective outlets.
On site wise, there are no traces of usage of staplet in the kitchen area which is in line with our practices. All our stocks are sealed with tape upon delivery from our suppliers.
Based on the photo and information that you had forwarded to us, we are unable to have a definite conclusion of how a staplet got into the burger. (1)

(2) We assured you that this is a one-off incident that should never happen again. To ensure such reoccurrence, we had taken further measures in additional to our current practices and procedures. All our suppliers were also been informed and highlighted on the matter and to take serious measures on their side. We will continue to follow up closely on the store and suppliers to ensure no such reoccurrence take place again.

We deeply apologized for the bad encounter that you have experience and (3) would like to offer you some vouchers to encourage you to patronize us again and token of appreciation of bringing up the matter to us.

Please reply for the arrangement of the vouchers to be made.

My thoughts after reading his reply..
*could not bring myself to reply....*

So many people urged me to get the vouchers and stuff from them...
But I seriously have NO intention to contact them with regards to freebies collection.
My initial intention to drop them an email is to bring up this matter to someone in the company.
And since things aren't going the way i thought it should,
i believe time shouldn't be wasted on them anymore..


Based on the 3 points bold+in blue font,
i'm sure that they really don't know what they're doing and what's happening..

Point 1: I'm asking you a question and now you're posting me back the same question that i've asked you in the first place. And in addition, doubting the evidence sent to you. Maybe i should just bite on it real hard till my gums start bleeding and take a picture of myself with bleeding gums.. Maybe by then, they will be more convinced with my complaint!

Point 2: This is the second time that he tried to assure me that it's gonna be a one-off incident. I totally disagree with him and would like him to recall the contents in my first email to him.. I believe i did clearly mentioned in the mail that the manager had told me that it's not the first time that customers found inedible / alien materials in their food. So how could i be assured that it's really gonna be a one-off incident when it's OBVIOUSLY NOT?! Is be because the previous few customers can't be bothered to raise their unhappiness up to them..? Or is it because this is their way of assuring customers; that is by lying to them that everything's really fine after this....?

Point 3: Do i look like i'm too poor to afford a decent meal from them? Or do i look like someone who make peanut matters look big just for the sake of that few dollars worth of vouchers..? Or.. I gian that i-don't-even-know-what's-that token of appreciation that's why i brought this matter to their attention? Should i know that things would be handled in this way, I wouldn't have bothered to spend my time to type the initial email out to them. It's GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT you know~ A place which i've spent quite some time of my life at, failing me after so many years... It feels as though as being betrayed by a friend whom you've known for quite some time..
And seriously.. You know what?! The name of the outlet still send chillers down my spine. I'm mentally affected.. Totally~ Unless you're in my position, else you can never understand how disgusting a feeling it is....
1) You don't know where did this staplet came from.
2) You are not even sure if it's rusy as it's been badly bitten.
3) The way they handle things pissed you off even more~

We refer to your e-mail dated on the 29th August '09.

First and foremost , we would like to offer our sincere apology for the incident happened at one of our outlets ,Bugis Junction.
We would greatly appreciate if you could e-mail us the picture of the patty so that we could proceed with our investigation.
At the meantime, we had feedback the matter to our supplier and internally we had swept the whole kitchen area to ensure no staple is used in these areas.

We ensure you it's a one-off incident and we will definitely get back to you once there's an outcome of the investigation.

As per request, kindly find the attached picture of the staplet.



I didn't manage to snap a picture of the patty as the half-eaten burger was taken back as soon as i rejected the manager's kind offer of changing into another burger.

Till now, i'm still confused as to where did the staplet came from (the patty, the bread or the tomato) and how did it ended up in the burger. Do keep me posted on the outcome of the investigation.

Doubt that it's gonna be of a satisfactory reply as he made a huge mistake by ending it with:
"We ensure you it's a one-off incident...."
When obviously it wasn't ONE-OFF~
I think they need to really read and clearly understand customers' complaints and yes~
Speak internally in the same language..

This is sucha F-ing ridiculous case la i tell you...
LUCKILY no cut, no bleeding in my gums.
But not very sure if i'm THAT lucky to not have chewed on a piece of rusty staplet!

Dear Sir / Mdm,

Staplet found in Spicy MOS Cheeseburger

I'd like to bring this incident to your immediate attention.

I found a 1cm long staplet while chewing a piece of my cold Spicy MOS Cheeseburger that i had at Bugis Junction's outlet on 28th August 2009, Friday.

I called out for the manager upon seeing the staplet and someone by the name of Irene came. She apologized profusely and kept repeating asking if i would like to have my burger replaced. I rejected her kind offer but made a few comments and also had a few questions posted to her:
1. "How can you assure that the next burger given to me will not contain another staplet(s)?"
2. "Why are there staplets in the kitchen in the first place?"
3. "I think you should feedback to your suppliers about it."

Other than:
1. "I'm so sorry. I'm really very sorry."
2. "Would you like to have another burger..........?"
3. "We had cases of customers complaining to us about finding staplets in their mussels before.. We've looked into it and had feedback to the suppliers"

It can be shown clearly that she did not answer any of my questions!

Other than refunding the money paid for the burger, i would suggest that:
1. The company should send workers, especially managers, for some form of training where they will be taught topics such as ways to handle customers' complaint.
2. There should be some kind of actions to be taken immediately when similar or even worse case were to happen. E.g. The outlet should stop selling burgers with beef patties immediately and to start some form of inspection in their kitchen for similar items found in the food. This is to prevent the same incident to happen again.
3. The quality of the products delivered by the suppliers should also be carefully inspected to prevent unwanted accusation of one another.

MOS Burger has always been a place that i will go to when i'm craving for iced milk tea, rice burger, croquette pie, clam chowder and corn soup. The food has never failed me. Until today.....

Thankfully, I did not sustain any form of injury despite the shock upon seeing the staplet when i spat it out of my mouth, as well as the lil fear of eating burgers with patties in MOS Burger again.
Even with that lil fear, I'm still looking forward to having more of the delicious food mentioned above, but this time with more assurance that the food served are of a higher quality, i.e. no more inedible items found within them.

As such, I look forward to hearing from you soon and would really appreciate that you can look into this matter seriously as i wouldn't want another person to share a similar horrifying experience that i had earlier on (which i believe i'm not the first one....).

Lastly, please do not hesitate to contact me should you require a picture of the staplet found in the burger.

Is it a trend nowadays to practise "Service with a Smile" in most stores..?
Be it retail fashion outlets or even restaurants....??
I see many servers wearing this "Service with a Smile" tag at work.
Amusingly...
Not many of them actually service with a SMILE.....
*roll eyes*

In addition to the above observation, I thought that we've got something called GEMS (Go the Extra Mile for Service) in here as well...?
Pardon me if campaign is past-tense, which i totally doubt so since we're still working very hard here to raise our existing service levels. Do also pardon me if the below mentioned dining place is not part of this campaign.

Let me start off with this not-too-long complain entry with this liner:

Why do I even need to bother about the smile when there's NO SERVICE to begin with in the first place...?!

I guess it's our bad luck today..
Or is it MY bad luck....
We stepped into Marina Square's PizzaHut after walking around Suntec City and Marina Square for quite some time, deciding on what to have for dinner..
We finally settled down at PH after recalling its pasta advertisement that was shown on tv couple of days ago and yes~ it's been some time since i last stepped into PH.
The place was packed with people but there wasn't a queue even though it was dinner time.
*Thank God*

We got ourselves a 2 seater table with the help of a server in all smiles.
We settled down quickly and started looking through the pages as we're both hungry and tired...
After less than 5 minutes of discussion and seeing 2 servers passed by us with the look that he/she's ready to take our order....
We caught the attention of a male staff and placed our order.
Specifically stated that we wanted 2 glasses of iced water before he left.

Our drinks came shortly, but no sign of iced water.
At least 5 minutes passed by, and our honey baked wings came.
Still.. No sign of our iced water!
We called out to the same person who took our order to serve us our iced water..
He replied "Ok!" and hurried off to serve some other people who's in the queue outside.
We had our eyes fixed on him all these time though..
Somehow he totally IGNORED us and i believe that he had also forgot our reminder for our iced water.

We're kinda mad at his irresponsible action.
Called another guy *assuming that he's the manager; he's in a different coloured uniform* to get us our iced water..
The same reply was given to us.
Vic's pasta came..
And..............
FINALLY the iced water came shortly after that.
DAMNZ!
I didn't know that actually iced water needs to take so long to serve!!!!!
Longer than the time needed to prepare the wings and pasta~!

And guess what?!
The minestrone soup took the same time to serve as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The guy who took us even had the cheek to serve us....
Both of us felt that he had totally forgotten about the soup!
I could sense that he's sorry but.....
HELLO~~~
The delay in serving the iced water is enough to piss us off..

I seriously don't fucking care the "Service with a Smile" campaign which you guys launch..
Campaign: Free personal pan pizza given at the next visit if to the customer who complains of any staff who didn't practise this campaign, i.e. He/she didn't service with a smile.
*that's if the above complaint is justifiable; subjected to terms & conditions*

Think!
If service didn't exist in the first place...
Who cares about that smile...?

Don't give the excuse that you guys are short-handed or even busy because it's dinner-time.
I see people walking around empty handed too!
I don't believe that people can't multi-task.
(especially people in this industry)
Examples:
- Bring us the iced water with our drinks / wings - like how i saw some fella did to another table, or
- Bring us tbe iced water when bringing bill to another table, or
- Bring us the iced water together with other table's order, etc.

The very very least they could do is to APOLOGIZE when there's a delay in serving something.
Or even to come up with an excuse for the delay.
White lie at this kind of time wouldn't harm~
Eventually it's gonna be a win-win situation for both parties - i would be glad that i've got what i want and you get to see more smiles from customers too.

Time to re-work on your service standards.
Maybe some service training may help..?
Or to work harder on quality control when recruiting staff...?
Isn't worthy to lose customers because of bad service you know~

The overall dining experience today wasn't really quite enjoyable.
Totally disappointed with the service received today though the company was great and the food served was still rather enjoyable..

I guess the existing "Service with a Smile" campaign should be changed to "Service AND Do it with a Smile" instead.
Just my two cents worth~
