Reviewing My 2010 New Year Resolutions (taken from here) Matching what i've planned for Year 2009 vs what i plan for Year 2010 (in bold) ....... [in red would be my comments] 1) To be punctual for all meet-ups. (i'm trying still. the latest i can only be is max 15mins) [this will still be part of my resolutions for 2011, as i would say that i still need to improve on this. there're times whereby i'm still 2) To rest more and to have enough sleep everyday. (with school starting.. i guess the only sleeping luxury i can get is only during weekends) [i would suppose that i've got sufficient amount of rest after quitting from my previous job. it's time to get all stressed up again.. gonna change this to ""] 3) (let's be realistic.. a shopaholic like me will be more than glad to save $100 more each month...) [will keep this resolution. i really need to save more once i've found something which pays me better. i'm using up all my savings already~] 4) To be able to cope with studying part time and working full time. (i NEED TO do so now... cuz i seriously need the degree!!!) [to be able to perform well in studies is all what i need this year!] 5) To stay healthy and slim down at least 2kg by the end of the year. (i pray to stay healthy and if possible, to shed some weight (at least 3kg) for health sake~) [managed to lose near to 4kg. thanks to that few months at home~ i'm still aiming for more if possible.... and also to stay healthy. been hit by the flu bugs quite a number of times this year. plus gastric pain and all... i'm looking forward to a healthier 2011!!] 6) To learn to love myself, and those whom i love. (To learn to be patient, spontaneous, confident and matured) [i'm still working on the aspect of patience, confidence and also...... initiative~] 7) (Not much time for books, probably textbooks and notes and maybe magazines.. Gonna change this to: To be able to be more understanding to my loved one and to love him more each day..) [i tried. but doesn't seem to work. so i'm gonna change this to: spend more quality time with my loved ones... and i'm referring to family and friends whom i care for] 8) To cut down on shopping expenses by half. (To be able to control my urge to shop/spend unnecessarily.) [something that i'm still working on though...] 9) To maintain a clean and tidy room. (I will stick to this.. Though i know that it's tough) [same for this year!] 10) To be independent and gain more self-confident by the end of Q3. (as mentioned above, i'm still wanting to be more confident.. as for independence, i've improved a lil by now.. i can shop/walk around now... just that it's rather aimlessly and i tend to be in a very 'lost' state.) [no comments on this. but shopping / walking alone for me now isn't much of a problem. guess i'm so used to the 'loneliness'] 11) To learn the basics of Photoshop by the end of the year. (somehow managed to picked up some skills here and there in Year 2009, but due to lack of practise.. i'm still rather weak in Photoshop though~) [didn't have much time and chance to master it. i'm gonna find time this year to learn something! Photoshop is real important man~~] 12) To change blogskin at least once a year. (Will be doing a new one soon when i have the time.. it's been TOO LONG since i last fidled with my blogskin template. Feeling rusty now~) [completely lost when i initial clicked on the 'Template' tab. i've got a draft up but due to some personal reasons, decided to KIV this project till 2011] 13) (i give up on learning foreign language for now... don't really have much spare time to do so. i'm more into looking at getting good grades for school) [good grades are top priority!] So in short, plan for Year 2010... - To stay healthy by resting more; lesser MC and don't try to pon class. [nearly there, hence gonna retain for Year 2011] - To achieve good results for work and good grades for school. [this is definitely a must for 2011!] - To be able to have more rest and to shed off some weight [retain! since shedding off a few more kg doesn't harm anyway~] - To be more understanding to people around me. [still working on it] - To find more time for family and friends. [planning for more meet-ups with friends and rekindle lost friendships] - To love my love one more. [love is not on priority list in 2011. but still, will go with the flow though~] (Do wish that he's more independent, matured, understanding, patient, sensitive, sweet and loving in the near future) - To BLOG MORE OFTEN! [i'll TRY] --- I would say that Year 2010 wasn't a good year for me. Pretty unlucky for most of the year though~ I've lost quite a far bit in terms of work, friendship and relationship... And somehow i realised that i didn't really quite blog the details here... As most of the time it was only on my Facebook's status. And now with i4, problems are shared mostly through more on Whatsapp, MSN and even FB~ In total for Year 2010, I've got only 8 pathetic published posts and 4 miserable drafts!! This is insanely crazy man!! Time to work on my blog man~ My writing skills and spelling are deteriorating!! After saying so much... My New Year Resolutions for Year 2011 would be.... 1) To achieve good results for work and good grades for school. 2) To stay healthy by having sufficient rest and eat all 3 meals each day; and to shed off some weight if possible (another 2 - 3kg would be fine). 3) To be punctual for all meet-ups. 4) To put a stop on impulse purchases and to maintain my monthly savings; and if possible, to up it by $100 - $200. 5) To learn the basics of Photoshop. 6) To take more initiative and show more confidence in terms of work. 7) To find more time for family and friends; and also to rekindle some lost (worthy) friendships. 8) To BLOG MORE OFTEN and to create a new blogskin by the end of 2011.
